GAINSWave is the premium brand of shockwave therapy used to treat erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease and optimize sexual performance.
Brought to you by Vitality Connect, this treatment is performed by a network of highly-trained medical providers across the country.
GAINSWave is an effective option because it addresses the root cause of many penile issues – poor blood flow. Treatment is all-natural, non-invasive and yields long-term patient results. Imago Medical Spa, serving Murray, UT, offers GAINSWave treatment right in our office.
How Does Poor Circulation Cause Erectile Dysfunction?
When a man becomes sexually aroused, his brain signals the release of certain chemicals that direct blood to the penis. There are two chambers in the penis, the corpus cavernosum, that are made up of spongy muscle tissue. As these chambers fill with blood, the muscle tissue relaxes enough to trap blood inside, causing firmness. Upon orgasm, other nerves cause the muscles in the penis to contract, releasing blood back into the general bloodstream. This causes the erection to subside.
Men may develop erectile dysfunction when blood flow to the penis is obstructed in some way. This could be an interruption in blood flow to the penis or the inability for the corpus cavernosum to retain blood for a sufficient erection.
How Does GAINSWave Actually Work To Treat My ED?
The GAINSWave treatment is a kind of regenerative medicine. It is designed to work synergistically with the body's natural repair processes rather than simply stimulate a temporary increase in blood flow.
When you've suffered an injury like a sprained ankle, your body produces chemicals that help heal the damaged tissue. As we get older, the body's ability to naturally repair itself slips into decline. We take longer to recover from our injuries. During a GAINSWave treatment, the application of shockwaves to the penis loosens the microplaques that are inhibiting optimal blood flow into the penis. The vibrations from the sound waves also "disturb" the penile tissue, tricking the body into perceiving the tissue as injured. The body's natural repair mechanisms then kick into action to generate healthy new blood vessels and nerves.
Does GAINSWave Increase Size?
GAINSWave treatments break up plaque that may be inhibiting your full erection. It also increases nerve and blood vessel regeneration so more blood can enter and remain in the penis when you are aroused.
Naturally, when your penis fills with blood as it should, your erect penis may look larger than it has in a long time. That said, this supposed increase is not literal, it is a result of the restored circulation that is enabling full erections.
What Are The Risks?
According to clinical studies, the GAINSWave treatment protocol is extremely safe and effective. Side effects are very rare and, in the few instances they have occurred, are generally quite minor. Potential GAINSWave side effects include discomfort during the procedure, blood in the urine after treatment, bruising or bleeding on the penile shaft or around the penis, painful erection, worsened penile curvature, and skin infection.
We use extraordinary care in the performance of the GAINSWave treatment and have achieved outstanding results for our clients. We can help you reclaim optimal erectile function, too!
How Long Is The Recovery?
You do not need to schedule any time off for your GAINSWave treatment. You can go right back to your normal activities as soon as your appointment is over. You can even test drive the effects of your treatment. However, don't become discouraged if your very first session doesn't transform your erection immediately. It can take time for your improvements to build.
Generally, six to 10 GAINSWave sessions are scheduled over the course of a few weeks. Whatever improvements do begin to show up right away will only get better in time.
The whole intent behind the GAINSWave procedure is to unblock the blood vessels in the penis and to stimulate natural tissue regeneration. This can continue for three months or longer, which is perhaps one reason why men report increased sexual satisfaction even one year after their treatment process.
